  1. That's where Narnia is.

  2. North towards Whetstone

  3. finchley central.. but you should look at them all, cos the price/location (as in close to shops/noise pollution etc) of where you live is just as important as the area

  4. North is the nicest part

  5. They are different places, really.

East Finchley has more of a "village feel", and is a fair bit trendier than the others. It has some reasonable (but not outstanding) pubs, and a Victorian cinema that shows an interesting selection of arthouse, continental and vintage films. It's also A LOT closer to central London (the Tube map may not make this evident, but if you look at a street map you;ll see what I mean- you're not far at all from Archway, Highgate, Hampstead Heath)

Finchley Central and North Finchley are  both far more suburban in character- generally with bigger houses, and in general are areas in which families (or retired people) live, whereas East Finchley is a bit more "young professionals". The main shopping street in Finchley Central (mostly called Regent's Park Road) is fairly devoid of charm, but there are some nice areas hidden away (especially towards West Finchley tube). North Finchley is more or less similar in character to Finchley Central, but further out and less well connected by public transport - although it does have a good branch of Waitrose, some lovely green spaces nearby (towards Totteridge, mostly) and, again, some OK pubs.
