For what it's worth, I'm looking in the southern Piedmont of Virginia. It's warmer than where I am now but doesn't get overly hot and humid in the summertime. Most of the smaller towns in the area have very low crime rates.

There are online quizzes that will help you pick retirement locations. I tried a couple and kept on coming up with Houma, LA, which was too hot to keep my wife happy.

We had our first snow of the year a light dusting warm srpings warm falls and winter usually lasts about 2 months.

Located in Williamson County 14th riches country in nation based on per capita.

Average home is roughly 400 grand but much higher in Brentwood.
