No i'm biased...But i would say that North London is pretty good! Avoid East London at all costs!

I wish you luck with your relocation :)

  6. How much would you be earning a year? If its about 30,000 consider moving to ealing or richmond.

  7. Depends what you mean by  "decent" & "medium wage".

You can rent at a reasonable cost in places like Hackney, Leytonstone and Walthamstow in E. London but whether you would class them as "decent" is another matter.

  8. Don't even think of living inside the M25 if you are earning less than £40k pa. The only places that you would be able to afford will be either very very small or in a lousy location or both. It's not just the purchase/rent price, you also have to consider Council Tax (can be high in Loony Left buroughs like Lambeth) and insurance (can be very high indeed in high crime areas).

There are some extremely bad places in London, especially for people not born there. E.g. Stratford, Brixton, Tower Hamlets.

Very few black cabs will take you far "south of the river" after midnight, for very good reasons!

You should look outside the M25 and consider commuting so you'll need to be on a radial railway (you really don't want to drive in every day).

To the west try Aylesbury, Slough, Staines, Hemel Hempstead. The only exception to the M25 rule is Watford.

I can't speak for anywhere in the other directions.

  11. i live in south london bermondsey its o.k but not perfect.

i want to move out of london as do most of the people i know.

london is okay if you have the money but i would suggest you relocate in the outskirts of london so you can commute easily but still live in a half decent neighbour hood.
