  1. There are many great places in Ireland to see, and Dublin for a couple of days is great. But the real beauty of Ireland in in the West and South.  Head for Galway and work your way down through Clare, Kerry, and West Cork - there are some lovely towns and beautiful scenery.

I have just found a cool website that tells you about the towns of Ireland - http:://www.mytown.ie - looks like it is just being built but might be useful

  2. Kerry - worlds greatest scenery, loads of great drives, culture, theatre, history, music, sport, pubs, beaches, The Ring of Kerry, Dingle, Killarney, Tralee, friendly locals, good hotels, fishing, some of the best golf in the world, shopping, tours - the best holiday destination in Ireland. Have a great time!

  3. Dublin....Quality place to go.

  4. athlone

    not a huge city

not totally in the middle of nowhere and farmery

    like in goldilocks

    dublin, galway, cork etc.

    too hard of a bed

scenic breaks eg cliffs of moher

    too soft of a bed

    athlone

    just right

    centre of the nation

train and buses from all airports

    many b&bs

    many hotels

    new Sheraton hotel open 24.April

2 brilliant shopping centres alongside many streets lined with great shops

    lots of pubs

    loads of restaurants

not a typical irish destination eg. tshirts saying irish plop for the yanks not seen anywhere

very near lake with great cruiser rentals

    on scenic river Shannon

    brilliant place

  5. The Ring of Kerry, the Burren, Co Clare, Ballyvaughan, Derry, Antrim Coast Road, Armagh, Athlone, Waterford, Dingle....loads of places to go.

  6. County Galway, The beaches around there are to die for. I visited Ireland for the first time last year, and stayed in my Dad's small town called Spiddal, known as the gateway to Connemara. There are some gorgeous places nearby, and the flights to the Arran Isles were just up the road.

  7. Galway is great.  The city is quite small and easy to get around but there's loads of little pubs and cafes! Always a great buzz or atmosphere.  Also you're at the gateway to connemara.  Beautiful scenic routes out by the sea road and only about 1h 30 from the burren in co. clare too!

The arann islands defo worth visiting too.  There is a regular ferry and flight service to them everyday.

This website here might give you some ideas:

  8. anywhere in co.clare, its beautiful, donegal is also nice as is galway and dublin is always exciting

  9. try a boat holiday on the shannon erne waterway, different town every night or berth somewhere a bit more rural

  10. Any travel agent or tourist information office will be able to tell you. Ireland has so much to offer.

  11. I think the West and South West myself, but as I live in the South West I am a little biased.

  12. Anywhere in the West. I reccomend Schull in west Cork. **** hole of no where but well worth it.
