Depends on how much money you want to spend and where.   If you are going to be in the loop then I would consider Smith and Wollinsky steak house where you can get a table looking over the river.  I had lunch after church a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty quiet but I would strongly recommend reservations.

the best place to take her would be Granite City, very nice upscale place decent prices, the have sunday brunch with a wonderful buffet, or you can order off the menu, they offer all kinds of nice alchohal..try it you wont be sorry!

Duffy's has a great brunch (and a great bloody mary bar!)- we've gone there for mother's day several times.  What's nice is its close to the (free) Lincoln Park Zoo, where you can spend the rest of the day.

get the srim jumbo its really good . the restouraunt was ranked 4 stars www.foodrankingpros.com.
