Wheres barbaro's brother?

Whats his name and is he ready to race? Im curious to see if hes any good.

Barbaro has two little brothers. There is a brother that will start racing probably mid this year, and his name is Nicanor. He is two. He looks a lot like Barbaro and they have high hopes for him, so hopefully he will have some of Barbaro's strength and heart in him! ;]

Then there is Lentenor. He will only be one on April 20 of this year! So we still have another long year to wait until we see him.. in the Winners Circle. ;D But they also have high hopes for him too.

So hopefully these two colts will show their true colors and live up to their name!

I have heard that they are going to try and keep breeding La Villa Rouge and Dynaformer in order to get a full sister to Barbaro, and I believe her name would be Calypso if there was to be a filly. {{this is what i HEARD, i dunno if its true}}

But thats the latest up-dates!!!

I don't know what his name is but I believe that he is a 2 or 3 year old this year, so he is racing age.  If you got to either thoroughbredtimes.com or bloodhorse.com and type "Barbaros brother" in the search bar you should find an answer.  One of the sites did an article on him, I don't recall which on though because it was a while ago.

Barbaro's oldest full brother is named Nicanor.  He is a 2 year old this year, but horses don't usually start racing until late in their 2 year old year, so we're not going to see him until the summer at the earliest.  Last I heard, he was learning the basics in Florida... he's learning to accept a saddle and a rider and how to walk and trot under saddle.  Eventually he'll be sent to Michael Matz to begin racing training.

Barbaro also has another brother who was born last year.  He won't be ready for racing for quite some time.  He was a very tall foal though and looks a lot like Barbaro.

La Ville Rouge has been bred to Dynaformer again and is in foal... Barbaro's third full sibling will be born later this year.

Nicanor should make his racing debut later this year, perhaps in the summer or this fall, as he turned 2 on January first. As for Lentenor, it will be at least a year or more before we see him start training, let alone on the track. Also, remember that it may be a while before the Jacksons and Matz recover enough psychologically to make another attempt at the Triple Crown- they are still healing from what happened to Barbaro. Just be patient.
