Wheres my o-ring?

Question

I pulled the lower unit off a mercruiser 120 and when I did the oring in the shaft is missing. It is possible some1 didnt put one back on.

Yes as it keeps the water off the spline grease it well also look up there with a flash light as 2 o/rings will make for a ruff installation>
