  1. The "Bermuda Triangle" or "Devil's Triangle" is an imaginary area located off the southeastern Atlantic coast of the United States of America, which is noted for a supposedly high incidence of unexplained disappearances of ships and aircraft. The apexes of the triangle are generally believed to be Bermuda; Miami, Florida; and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

  2. The more familiar, triangular boundary in most written works has as its points somewhere on the Atlantic coast of Florida; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and the mid-Atlantic island of Bermuda.

No, you do not fly over it from Germany to the NYC area or Boston. These routes are way North of the so-genannte Bermuda triangle, one of the more tedious myths that keeps coming around - nearly as bad as the area 52 stories.

  3. The Bermuda Triangle occurs in the western North Atlantic Ocean.  The traditional three "points of the triangle" have been (1) Bermuda, (2) Miami, and (3) San Juan (in Puerto Rico).

Statistically, according to insurance records from Lloyds of London going back to the 1500s, the probability of disappearing in the Bermuda Triangle is the same as any other part of the ocean (anywhere in the world) that's the same size.  So, I wouldn't worry about it.  The dangers of the Bermuda Triangle exist only in people's minds.  After all, you never hear of the "Indian Ocean Triangle" near Australia because it's not something people think about, although ships have disappeared there, too (like anywhere).

Flying from the eastern United States to Europe almost always takes a Great Circle route, which will take you over the north Atlantic Ocean nearer to Greenland and Iceland.  So, you'll be nowhere near Bermuda, anyway.

  4. It goes from Africa to England to the East Coast. It was the route that slaves were shipped on in the 1700's. You would probably fly over it from Kentucky to Germany, but you can't see it.

  5. in the western north Atlantic Ocean.
