Go to http://www.venezuelatuya.com/indexeng.ht... it has turism information. I don't recommend you to go to a cheap hotel. Especially if you are not Venezuelan because you may have a very bad experience (insecurity, thefts, etc is rampant right now), in Caracas at least. If you are going to Caracas only go to a well known place and go where turists go and always in company. Examples of good hotels in Caracas are:

If you go to Margarita or Coche island however, that's a LOT safer so it's ok to stay anywhere and go anywhere if you'd like. Of course always with some precautions.

Just go down and stand in the town square and yell at the top of your voice "HUGO CHAVEZ IS FIDEL'S LOVETOOL" you will have a free place to stay and yummy slop to eat.

It's Hugo's Hotel and Restaurant.  Really cheap and dirty.  And Hugo feeds everyone manure.  It's located right next door to Fidel's.
