hit vegas... or biloxi if you dont want something that glitzy

if you are coming to gamble then stay at the hotel on the boat the new is one is the Luimere

Harrah's has a great hotel, so does Ameristar.  You can get room vouchers too sometimes!  There aren't too many "bad hotels" in St. Louis.  Riverboats I believe are still closed due to high waters.

If you're going to gamble, I'd suggest staying at one of the casino's hotels. Lumiere Place and Harrah's both have hotels, as does tha Casino Queen. I'm not sure about some of the others, also, you may just get a hotel downtown near several casinos. With a pretty straight shot down I-70 to Harrah's.

If you have or download google earths new version of the software you can choose from all the hotels available and really see the streets that they are on. Also has a very handy business finder!

I stayed in the Holiday Inn Express down there, it's right downtown, next to the convo center and not too far from the landing. If you check online, they generally have discounts. The rooms are big, plus indoor pool and warm breakfast. Secure parking in a garage, however it's $10.00 a day... which is not too bad.
