I suppose this would depend on how much you are willing to spend - but the River Cafe is fantastic in Hammersmith.... one of the finest in London!!!!

As someone said (above) The River Cafe is good but expensive (lunch is £60 without wine). So it depends if you are on a budget.

I also use La Trompette in Devonshire Road, Chiswick - but again, expect to pay £40+ wine.

A little less expensive is The Notting Grill in Clarendon Road, however, I have heard from friends that the service is not as sharp as it used to be.
