Hi Zach.  No matter where you can find a camera for a good price or even a great price....  you can always find it cheaper on eBay.    Lots of people dog eBay because they have heard some bad stories,  but I have bought and sold on eBay without any problems.   If you use PayPal to pay for your item, you are totally covered,  as if something comes amiss,  you just report it to PayPal and then will jerk the money out of the seller's account and you will not lose anything...    The XL1, is a VERY expensive cam corder.  So real cheap is not going to be much of a reality...  but eBay will give you a choice of cameras and choice of prices.  Sending you a link.   Just remember, buyer beware  and check Seller Feedback.  If he has 100% - 98%, you know people are happy with their transactions.  If the seller has a number of "negatives"  you know to go on to the next seller.   Also,  another tip is to see if the seller has a return policy, which tells me, he is honest and wants his buyers to be happy.   Good luck finding your camcorder.   Canons are really nice ones.
