i really want to buy a albino boa but cant decide weather to buy online, a pet shop or a breeder

  1. get intouch with a shop called cold blooded its in rainham essex they specialise in all reptiles and would be able to advise you. they had a beautiful emerald green boa in there so they have dealing with the breeders.  there number is 01708 630 135 or google it to go to their website.


  2. Quite frankly i think you should do some more research, if you don't know how much it costs then i wonder if you know how much it will cost financially and physical to keep.

    Do you know how much effort you have to put into looking after one. I think you should rethink it.

    They're not just pretty snakes you know!!!

  4. Be aware of just how big a Boa Constrictor can get. 12 - 14' is an average size. They will need a huge vivarium and will probably need a couple of rabbits a week to feed them.

    That cute little baby feeding on mice will not stay that size for long. They grow - fast. Some younger boas have a temper issue as well, though it usually (not always) mellows out as it grows.

    If you are set on getting one of these very pretty snakes talk to a breeder/reptile specialist store and price it up with them. They price of the snake is only the start. You will need a large vivarium and heating equipment as well.

  5. It all depends on where you live. Are you in the uk or not. If you are I can help you. Albino Boa's are beautiful creatures and are not hard to tame at all. I have a boa and have had him since he was very young. He is a lovely snake with a fantastic temperament.

    Albino's or any kind are expensive though, as they are pretty rare. You generally have to get one from a specialist breeder, or a shop that deals with a specialist breeder.  

  6. I would say breeder guaranteed captive bred, better advise, probably get a good price too.

    Have u kept large snakes before because constrictors are cheap for a reason. They tend to be nasty difficult snakes that are hard to tame


  7. The price has been going down. Right now they're going for $400 to $500. You can find plenty of breeders on kingsnake.com.
