Wheres the best place to connect the remote wire?

I got a system and all and i'm wondering what is the best way/place to connect the remote wire so that the amp is ONLY on when the car is switched on. all ideas are welcome, thanks.

  1. generally, you would connect it to the remote/amp (blue with white stipe) wire coming out of the back of your headunit....

    If your connecting to a factory deck, grab yourself a meter and start checking wies in the back of the stereo.

It is designed to be connected to the amp trigger wire on your head unit which is usually blue.  Or barring that connect it to the red power wire on the head unit as the usual color codes are yellow=constant battery feed, red=ignition switched feed, and blue=amp trigger(remote on).  Depending on your model of head unit there may be another wire labeled antenna trigger but do not use this one for your amp remote as if you do the amp will only be on when the radio is on and won't be on for other sources such as CDs.
