  1. trying swimming in the Pacific ocean (although its going be cold!) at least there's no border check points in the middle of the ocean! ;)

  2. Okay, so, you're banned from the USA. That changes my entire post. Go to Stewart, BC, and you can just walk across the border into a desolate part of Alaska where 90 people live. Then you're in, baby! IN! But don't do that. Because if the US catches on to your illegal border crossing, they'll be mighty p.o.'d. You know what they do to Mexicans who cross the border ... and they don't even have criminal records!

As a Canadian, you can petition for a pardon. Three years after end of sentence for summary, 5 years after for indictable. Hope what you did wasn't too bad, and hope you didn't p**s off your prosecutor or judge. Also hope it was long in the past. Call your lawyer, have him help you with this. Otherwise, be content to escape to Vancouver as your tropical paradise. It's almost as good as Florida. You don't worry about being shot as much, as long as you stay away from East Hastings Street.

  3. You will be caught and if you and the U.S. are aware you are banned you are going to jail.

It is technically illegal to attempt to enter the U.S

Applying for a "Pardon" is your only option

  4. There is no good place that you won't get caught now. They used to give me a lot of grief and I am a US citizen born and raised!! There are places you can swim across ;+/

  5. If you tell me your name and when you are going to cross, I'll let you know where to do it.

  6. Follow my train of thought here:

Don't you think that if you or I can figure out a place to cross the border (illegally by the way, since you are REQUIRED to cross only at a authorized port of entry that is manned) without being stopped or questioned, then isn't it also possible a terrorist could do the same?

Homeland Security has tightened access to the states in an attempt to prevent this type of thing. They have increased patrols (as have Canada), added more sensors to detect illegal border crossings, and they even have local armed militia who are patrolling that may shoot first and ask questions later.

Just get the right clearance and fill out the forms to get in legally. Jail sentences tend to be longer than a cross-border trip to the USA.
