Wheres the best place to live in england?

ive been to the south and visited london and i hated it. it was to busy and dirty but ive hear the north is nice? any ideas...

harrogate is nice its very posh although i think its expensive but if u think the sea side try newcastle its a lovely place with great nightlife and short drive to sunderland or edinburgh
