  1. As long as you get a dial tone and you can power the base station and charging unit for the portable yes why not .


  2. Yes you can. But there are two issues that you may encounter not bec it is 5.4G(I think you mean 5.8G). But,

    Line power variation in India is wide, so make sure to have a DC adaptor intended for India. Another is the Caller ID feature. If that phone is not intended for India, you may not receive Caller ID correctly.
