  1. stainless steel is not injurious as such, so there is no need to do so. Rather after it is disintegrated the end products may be toxic to environment.


  2. No.  

    Non-toxic, but takes a long time to degrade.  Unsightly, but it may actually provide habitat for small organisms.  Could be beneficial in ocean as artificial reef habitat.

    Stainless steel is costly in energy to manufacture, and is often kept shiny by the use of strong acids that may be bad for the environment

  3. Stainless steel is a metal alloy.Metal is not biodegradable.Metals in general are not dangerous to the environment.
