  1. Dude you are making the typical mistake many make, thinking that training your muscles 5 times a week will make them bigger. Overtraining your muscles actually eats them up to have energy for such high output.

Train twice a week upper and lower body, REST meaning get a good night sleep  (that's when you GROW MUSCLE WHEN YOU SLEEP!!)... and eat, eat, EAT. There is no way around it. You can't build a house with one brick.

Keep your whey protein but take it only right after your workout and in the mornings with breakfast. Get a MASS GAINER or WEIGHT gainer with lots of calories and drink at least one big cup of it between lunch and dinner and if you can between breakfast and lunch.

Eat pasta for complex carbs that give you energy to work out and chicken, eggs and some red meat for a bit more natural protein that builds more muscle (when you SLEEP).

You just have to eat more. When you weight train you need to eat even more because your metabolism runs even faster. But if you can 'out eat' your metabolism you will build slabs of muscle.

Good luck, I'm in the same boat struggling to gain pounds. I'm up 6 pounds tho!

  2. my friend i had the same freakin problem like you i trained for 8 month and took in about half my weight in protein grams and didnt notice much but a small increase in mass. WELL then i tried taking in twice as much protein and adding carbs AND WHOOOOLE you notice a different that same week. Try taking your weight in carbs and in protein but YOU NEED TO CONTINUE WORKING OUT otherwise you will just gain fat and no muscle. Rest atleast one day, two would be better but atleast one. Youll see some gains trust me.
