Whi is that my Tivo cannot acquire channel information?

Just got HD Tivo and have Comcast cable. The TiVo setup went fine. I came to tivo central and there it says it cannot acquire channel information - contact comcast. Comcast cannot help me. Tivo customer service is closed now. Any ideas?

Oh, when I go to troubleshoot, it says the card status is not found. I checked with comcast - I got the right cable card.

  1. A lot of receivers update at a certain time. mine does it at 3 A. M. But I can bypass that by resetting my receiver. look in the manual for your tivo and see how to reset it and try that. I don't know if this will work for you my dvr is not a tivo.
