Whic passenger plane is better? Airbus A380 or Boeing 787?

It depends on your requirements.

If you think the A380 is a neat plane, wait until Boeing unveils its final plane design for a super jumbo that it will call the 797.  

My suspicion is that the company is learning HOW to make plastic planes with the 787, and that the company will design and manufacture a fuel sipping plane that will fly circles around the A380.  Had the French (Airbus) designed this plane 30 years ago, it would be the huge accomplishment you may be looking to claim that it is.

Boeing sized its 747 so that there wouldn't need to be too much done in the way of redesigning commercial terminals and runways.  With what Boeing learns from the 787, it will be able to sell this 797 aircraft to airlines that then WON'T need to demand longer runways and bigger terminals for its customers.  It will be a LOWER-COST version of the A380.

They are in different categories, but the 787 is far more advanced thinking, the 380 is just big.

You really cant compare them. They are meant for completely different things.

They don't compare, 787 is compared with the A350XWB, A380 is compared with the 747-8i. You comparing two different planes in two different categories meant for different things.

That would be too early to tell,neither airplane has been in sustained service for long and they are both breaking ground in passenger aircraft design and manufacture at this point. You need to wait at least a year or two before asking that question.

the 787 is far better because it can carry a good amount of passengers and can take off at normal size airports plus it is more eco- friendly because it is made mostly out of carbon composites. (and airbus sucks)

You are comparing oranges to apples, but I say the B-787 if better over all..

Tough call - that requires a lot of speculation because neither plane is in service yet and those planes are not directly comparable.

Not being comparable planes, I'm not sure I know what you're asking by "which is better".

My opinion is that the 787 will end up being more successful.  My reasons:

The 787 is being built to replace a highly successful, but aging mid-sized aircraft fleet.  The 380 is trying to define a new market.

The 787 is aimed toward the mid-haul market and can be adapted to many types of missions.  The 380 will most likely only work for the long-haul market.

The 787 doesn't require any infrastructure change.  The 380 probably will (airport gates, runway lengths, ramp weight limits, etc).

The 787 designers are aiming to balance technology, comfort, economic viability, and efficiency.  While Airbus has a history of building technologically-advanced aircraft, the 380's selling point is more of the "wow factor" of its size than the new technology going into its design.

Of course, those are just my opinions and I wrote this obviously biased to support my opinion.  Both companies are taking risks trying to gamble on what the market is looking for.  I guess only time will tell!

Airbus 380 is newer.. But tbh i like Boeing Dreamliner better
