Whic tv has the best pic quality and best image?

I'm buying a TV mainly for gaming(xbox 360) and hd channels and movies. Which type produces the best pic DLP, rear or front projection, LCD or plasma. And which brand or what tv would you recommend for the best of best in picture and just overall rating?

In 2007, the Sony XBR's had the sharpest images while Samsung's 71F had the best contrast. I have yet to see any of the 2008 XBR's from Sony, so I'd have to say that the best picture quality (both sharpness and contrast) availble today is the Samsung's A650 & A750 LCD HDTV models.

All options will give you a great picture, but for gaming and HD I would go with LCD.  

As far as brand, I recommend Samsung, Sony, Toshiba, LG.
