Which 2 running backs should i start in week 1?

I need 2 running backs out of Larry Johnson vs. New England, Reggie Bush vs. Tampa Bay, Brandon Jacobs vs. Washington, and Ryan Grant against Minnesota. I don't know which will be the best though. Thanks!

Grant and Jacobs.  Johnson is getting older and his prime is way gone.  Saints RBs only get 37% of the overall plays, the least in the NFL so dont start Bush.  Don't mind the Vikes D vs Grant, I watch Grant a lot and he will be fine, trust me.

this is a really hard decision to make but i would put in brandon jacobs because of there o line and reggie bush because tampa has a great d but they got shockey now so he can do run blocks well and washington has no corners and bush can catch out of the backfield

i'd go larry johnson and brandon jacob.  Vikes have the best run def in the league last year. And Bush usually struggle against the bucs, i think the buc just have the speed to match up with bush.

unlike the guy above me said, ryan grant would be the worst possible choice. the vikings were the number 1 team defending the rush last year so I dont know why u would start anyone against them. I would jacobs and larry johnson. the pats defense is getting old but they are still decent. Johnson has some amazing talent though and with there QB johnson will get lots of carries(just hope its not a blowout early and they stop running the ball). and I dont like reggie bush as a runner and jacobs is a big back that gets some yards and TDS.

I'd have to go with L.J. and Reggie Bush.  I don't like Jacobs much this year if N.Y. really does go with their running back committee idea.  L.J. is a beast and should be able to pick up decent yardage against New England.  Minnesota, which has arguably the best defense in the league, knows that Green Bay wants to rely on the running game as much as possible, especially with the Aaron Rodgers ordeal and being the first Monday Night Football game.  Look for Minnesota to stack the box earlier on to force Rodgers to go to the air.  The Saints will have one of the top offensives in the entire league, and with McAlister coming off of his injury, Bush should get quite a few touches.  Bush will also get a number of pass receptions which will help if you are in a PPR league.  Bush has recommitted himself and unless Pierre Thomas shows that he can carry the ball 15-20 times a game, look for Bush to get a number of carries and pass targets against an aging Bucs defense.

Larry Johnson and Ryan Grant...New England's defense is getting older by the minute. They wear out throughout the game because of their age. As for Grant, they might not put the load on Aaron Rodgers the first game and stick more to running

Jacobs for sure. Jacobs is a smashmouth runner that will get many yards and TDs this year. He is the giants #1 redzone guy and will score at least 1 td a game. Now, for the second guy, it's a toss up between grant and johnson. Grant i think is a little overrated, but is still pretty good, although it is a pretty good pats def. Now, i would probly say johnson, but he is against the best rushing defense in the nfl allowing only 70 something yards last year, and their def only got better. So i'd say grant, but it's up to you.
