I need to buy a couple of 20" wheels for my bmx bike... was wondering how i can pick out something that is most resistant to bending or getting out of true. I like to do street stuff, so something strong is important to me. What kind of material should it be made out of? What company is good for making wheels like this? Anyone have a pair of rims that they liked? etc..

  1. Hey,

    I ride lot's of bmx, and i went trought lot's of rim's...

i love any odyssey or Alianation rim's.

personaly, i have Alianation 440 rim in the front and a odyssey hazard lite in the back, 36h in the front, 48 in the back

good rim's are made out of Aluminium and are double walled.

    usaly 50$ + depend's on the kind.

do not buy any rim's with less then 36 hole's.

i never heard of triple walled rim? and even if they would exist for bmx they would be to much force therefor making the rim very hard... the more wall's dosent mean the better. double walled rim's are the best.

and by the way, alex supra e rim's are double walled.

and i love the way you say that the front tire take's less of a beating then the back tire, wich is false... unless your some sorte of crazy back tire jumping fool

  2. I Run an alex supra E i believe in the back, its a triple wall, been on my bike now for 3 straight years, minor truing is all i needed to do. i run a high presure in the back also. for a front im running just a double wall proper been a good rim and fronts dont take that uch abuse anyway
