It's between Bravia X and Samsung series 7 I guess. You should see them at a store and compare their colours as well as their quality at high speed display [sports,action scenes etc.]

If they seem similar, then it could only be up to your wallet.

Also don't forget to ask about their performance on HD content.

I would say the SONY x series, but if the Samsung series 7 is a lot cheaper, then get it.

Although ALL the models you named are FANTASTIC, The fact of the matter is, the Sony XBR series ultimately will be the very best LCD.

I prefer the Samsung 6 and 7 series however because of the Higher contrast ratio than the Sony (Sony-30,000:1 Samsung 50,000:1) and lower response time (Sony 8ms Samsung 4ms) Plus the red bezel looks kick-a**!

Cnet.com gave the 6 series tvs an 8.0 rating, making them their highest rated LCDs (at the moment)

I just bought a Samsung LN40A650 and its the best investment i made.  This T.V is freaking awsome...!!  Best LCD out there and for the price it is worth it.  Sony's XBR are over rated and over priced!!! AS of right now the samsung is the best as Cnet reported.   If you can afford it get the 750 series if not the 650 is just as good minus few multimedia stuff.  Buy and you will not regret.
