I want to buy a 46' TV.

Now, what is a difference between a LCD and a plasma?

What are the comparisons, in the sense the difference between costs(in Rupees please) and the quality difference.

Which one of them is easier to maintain etc, sound and clarity etc etc.

If i decide to buy a LCD of 46' What should it be?

Which company, which model, what are the costs, ?

More the info, better it will be for me, include links etc.(spam away!)

will it be better to buy it from the showrooms or shops like 'big bazaar' ?

If i do buy it from big bazaar, how much of a diference will it make?

  1. Liquid-crystal display televisions (LCD TV) are television sets that use LCD technology to produce images. Benefits of LCD technology include lower weight and reduced power requirements when compared to other display types. LCD television screens can also be used as computer monitors.

A plasma display panel (PDP) is a type of flat panel display now commonly used for large TV displays (typically above 37-inch or 940 mm). Many tiny cells located between two panels of glass hold an inert mixture of noble gases (neon and xenon). The gas in the cells is electrically turned into a plasma which then excites phosphors to emit light. Plasma displays are commonly confused with LCDs, another lightweight flatscreen display but with very different technology.
