Right now i'm using 2.1 Logitech 230 but i think i wanna go for a 5.1 .

I am going to use it only for playing xbox360 and Ps3 games and nothing else.

And i am Not willing to spend some x*x bucks for a ultra proffesional system.

So you know of any good 5.1 sound system with reasonable price ?

Thanks

  1. Are you looking for something in the $900 range or $200 range (I assume in the triple digits with the x*x).

If you are in the lower range ($400 or less) you are looking at HTiB (home theater in a box).  HTiB will have a reciever, speakers, and sub for much less than if you purchased individual components.  Brands I recommend are Onkyo and Sony.

If you go for components, for your price range look for a Yamaha, Harmon Kardon, or Onkyo reciever.  For speakers Infinite speakers, or Polk speaker.

  2. I just have to say this because no one has said it yet.

WHY IS THIS QUESTION IN HOME THEATER?

Thats a Computer question. I'm a Home Theater Tech. I don't know what computer speakers work with your computer.

I install full range speakers in a room and take my time to look at the room to find what works best and where to install everything.

How would I know what computer speakers will work best for you?

Really You don't think someone in computer will know. Their has to be someone in Computers that plays computer games and has tried many different speaker systems.

So my answer is ask this question in computers.

  3. Since you're not willing to spend top dollars for a 5.1 system, why not move one step up from what you have and get the Logitech X-530 or the X-540 series. You can also take a look at Creative's selection of speakers. But personally, to fully take advantage of the PS3 and 360's Dolby Digital technology, and actually getting real surround sound instead of virtual surround sound, you might want to invest in the Logitech Z-5500, or even better, a dedicated home theater in a box from Yamaha or Onkyo.

  4. IF you are on a budget try yhis site.  The have new and alot of good quality refurbished systems from all the major manufactures. I have bought systems here as presents for myself, mom, and brother.  No complaints so far
