Carter stressed democracy and human rights. The US has LONG supported dictators.  In fact, Carter has been denounced by the Right for NOT supporting the dictator (Shah) of Iran.

MANY Presidents have cheated on their wives.  As for lying about it, it was not proper for anyone to even ask!

The best answer is by Smarty, The only I will add in defense of Carter is he was working on alternative energy which Reagan dropped and also Reagan made a deal with the Iranians to hold the hostages until Jan 20 when he took office so that he would get the credit.  Look up the headline of the newspaper that shows the date the hostages were released the same day Reagan was inaugurated.  And Carter has also done more as an ex-president than even of the others.  Plus he was one of the most honest Presidents.  So people need to get their facts right before they knock him.

You were too young or not born but Reagan was one of the worst, left us with the biggest budget deficit until Bush ll came along.

Nixon was very smart, unlike Bush ll and Regan, two dummies. Nixon did some good, opened up relationships with China and the old Soviet Union.

Bush ll ;however, has no redeeming qualities at all. NONE

As far as Carter goes that is a recent smear campaign from Zionists and Jews because he wrote a book that said we should at least talk to the Palestinians.

So they started a smear campaign just in-case, because when they start a war over there in the Middle East, they expect us to join in and fight their battles. The Carter book messed up those plans.

One thing nobody bothers to mention is the fact that the only Middle East Peace agreement that still is honored and actually solved a problem, was brought about by President Carter. the Camp David Accords. He brought together two enemies and they made peace with each other Egypt and Israel. You never hear that mentioned? The Jews have conveniently have selective memory loss. It doesn't fit their plan that includes the US  is supposed to fight their wars for them.

As far as Clinton, I won't even go there.

Eight years of peace, prosperity with the largest economic expansion in the countries history. On top of that he eliminated the deficits made possible from all those many years of Republican administrations before him because those Republicans made foolish tax cuts and recklessly spent the tax payers money.
