I'm thinking about pursuing a career in politics.

What subjects do you think I should take up?

I'm interested in history and politics, but I heard that history is really hard.

  1. My son wants to go into politics and has chosen English Language, Modern History, Psychology and Sociology as his A-level subjects (starting 6th form tomorrow).

Economics would also be an ideal choice.

    Good luck with your choices.

  2. media can't go wrong!!

  3. Along with History and Politics you could take Economics and English Language :D

  4. take government and politics and history...its not that hard really

  5. Economics.

  6. Sorry but if you want to pursue a career that going to govern the lives of millions, I really think you need to take a decent subject, such as history.  Fluking it with subjects that you've chosen just because they're easy won't guarantee you a job anywhere, let alone in government.

  7. History; Politics; Economics; Psychology; English Language; a Foreign Language.

History is not particularly hard it's just a bit mind-numbing. None of these courses are 'difficult' there's just a lot of information you need to remember.

    Good Luck
