  1. The simple answer is........ Its the gun you shoot. not the amo. And a AK isn't a long range accurate weapon. The rounds go long range but the gun doesn't have the bullet long enough to spin it enough to stabilize it for 250 plus yards accurately. SO what im saying is from 0 to 250ish yards you will not see much difference between rounds. Over 250ish yards luck plays more of a role than amo.

I like reading these posts simply because its apples and oranges. Both rounds where made for the same reason. The question you need to ask yourself is How much are you going to be shooting. I like the 223 simply because it is what Americans shoot and if there is amo coming from the sky in America it will most likely be .223. The ak isn't a sniper rifle, if it was it would have a 20"barrel."don't try to hall your boat with a Yugo". Your ak is an Oh @#!#$T gun. And a d**n good one at that in either cal.

  2. None of this matters, because an AK, especially a pistol is not very accurate. The ak pistol, is not very accurate at all past 120-150 yards. The Smaller barrel does not stabilize the bullets as they need to be....couple that with the aks very loose, sheet metal tolerances, and youre doing well to hit anything at moderate distance. This leads me to be shopping for a .223, because the smaller round is fine out to 200 yards.  The .223 round is made to better specs, and inherently more accurate than the commie rounds. The Ak 7.62X39 round has so much kick that coupled with the inacuracy of the AK, it is very hard to aim and fire an accurate second/third shot in the time is takes for a target to evade. Hence,,,,,the stories of Ak users just firing whole clips blindly, hoping to hit something. I am looking for the .223 for its reliability (drag it through the mud, p**s on it to clean it off...and it works)...not its accuracy past 50-100 yards. I have never seen a study on bullets tumbling out of the pistols...but I know its bad..

If you want accuracy in a cheap .223 pistol, go for a Kel-tec...they are amazingly accurate....enough for hunting at the about same distances as an AR. they can be bought for 500 bucks, and will shoot 1-2 moa

  3. Is there an Ak that fires both, like an ar?
