of all of the APs you took, which one(s) were the hardest and easiest?

im taking APs in literature, gov't, economics and chem this year (senior)

concerning chemistry, i did really good in regular chemistry class in junior year and that why im doing AP this year. so will it be okay, in terms of hardness, since im doing it two years in a row? compared to some other kids who just take AP chem without taking chem first? i wanna major in chem in college. how was AP chem for you? which AP science do u think is hardst?

  1. From my experience.

Hardest AP for me is languages other than English.

Easiest AP would be one of the sciences.

The science I find easiest is Chemistry. I would assume AP Chemistry to be the easiest compared to everything you could have.

Edit: If AP Chem is as hard and you all say it is, I'd love to join your class, I'm in my sophomore year and Chemistry is a blow over to me. A challenge is always good.

  2. AP Chem is pretty hard, but AP Physics (both) is pretty difficult. I heard the AP Bio test this last year was brutal...everyone I know got either a 2 or 1 on it, and those were kids who got good grades in the class. This is non-science related, but if you want an easy AP, take Psychology. It's known to be a pretty easy AP test every year. Art History is easy, if you have an interest in it...I really liked the class a lot and I got a 4 on the test this last year.

  3. It depends on what kind of mind you have really. AP Bio is mostly theory with bits and peices of formulas and such. It is a huge course to cover. So it might be harder if you have trouble memorizing stuff. AP Chem is more math oriented, people with a stong mathematical mind find it easier and tend to do better in that class. The same goes for AP physics but for AP physics, a good problem solving ability also helps.

The easiest AP science would be AP enviornmental.

I agree, the AP bio test was brutal this year, all the previous practice tests were easier, but i still haven't found out my score so still waiting.

  4. In my school AP Chemistry was a lot of work but I guess if you're really good with it then you should be fine cause I took Honors Chemistry my sophomore year and I actually was having a bit of trouble with that but then I took my time to study and actually did pretty good and then took an AP Chem my Junior Year then and did fine but as I said I had to put in a lot of work but that was in my school.

  5. Your first semester of AP Chem will probably be review and then second semester will be new (and harder stuff). I thought that the class was really easy. I also have taken AP Physics C (both Mech and E&M) and AP Enviro. Of these three, AP Physics C E&M was the hardest and AP Enviro was the easiest.

  6. AP chem is the hardest AP test around....I'm also raking the class next year and I'm pretty nervous.

I have friends who took the class last year and said that it was the most challenging course they ever took...they also suggested that I save myself the tears and not take it...

of course I'm taking it anyway...i like a challenge:]
