Which American city is similar to Sydney?

Honolulu or Miami.Both have the beach,the ports and the high rises near the coast.Been to both cities.

San Franciscoo feels a lot like home ,it's centred around a picturesque harbour ,is fairly windy and hilly ,large g*y community ,large chinatown and the architecture feels similar ,

but i'm guessing san diego, california comes close

San Francisco.

Harbour, iconic bridge.  Hilly.  Large g*y community.  Reasonably cosmopolitan.

if you like sydney than you would like san Francisco. but if you like melbourne than you wold like europe.

hmm that's tough.  I never been to Sydney...maybe a cross between new york and seattle

hmmm first thing that come to my head is Atlantic city or Seatle but none are like sydney.
