I'm going to a college in the UK which has an American Football team and I'm thinking of joining. I play rugby and football so im quiet fit. I'm 5"10-5"11 and weigh 99kg which is cus of my muscular wide frame and I'm quick run 100m in around 11 seconds. Also I'm not affraid to tackle or take hits

  1. UUUHHHHHHHH RB or halfback if u dont no.

  2. If you are as tough as you say you are and don't need to be a star play middle linebacker it is a true test to how tough you are taking on 300 pound linemen and 250 fullbacks that is a mans position!

  3. With your size, speed and ability to take a hit halfback may be a good fit for you.   The halfback is one of the star positions on the field responsible for carrying the football.  He may also be used as a receiver on short  and sometimes long passing plays. When the halfback in not running or receiving he helps the linemen block to protect the quarterback or fullback.  A good example of a halfback, and the functions they perform, is Brian Westbrook of the Philadelphia Eagles.

  4. depending on the defense i would put you at linebacker. You also might be a good slot back/Half Back.

  5. fullback (quite a different position from the rugby fullback) or linebacker which is a defensive position.
