Which Atlanta suburb is best for me?

Question

I'm looking for a top-notch school system, low crime rate, and a nice area but too far from the city. I'm coming close to getting a CNN job (CNN is in south atlanta) so I don't want to have to drive too far OR sit in traffic too long. I drive a Toyota Camry so gas isn't a huge deal but i only want to drive as far as i have to.

I would recommend Alpharetta, Roswell, Marietta - just about anywhere along the 400/19 highway corridor north of Northridge Rd...The next offramp south of Northridge on 400 is the North Springs MARTA (train) station (there is no north-bound offramp)...From North Springs, the train will take you to 5-Points (main train terminal) and that is a short walk to the CNN Center, about 1/4 mile away...Train travel time - about 25-30 minutes...Check Google or MSN satellite maps for a good overview.

Hate to tell you that CNN center is in heart of Atlanta, and anywhere you are talking about is going to be sitting in traffic for long time.  Like other said Marietta isn't bad (Walton High) district,  Kennesaw or Canton but those are nice drive away from Atl.

Only place I can honestly say is on the north end, since I live in Gainesville. My dad works near the CNN on days that he has a store down there, (General Manager). He goes to sleep early and wakes up early, normally around 4:45. He gets to work by 6 or 6:15, beats all the traffic. no matter where you live, drive time is only based on rush hour.  Gainesville, Bufford even are what you are looking for.

Ok, there is a city just to the south west of Gainesville thats somewhat closer to ATL but yahoo wont let me put it up. Its comming but with a u. I swear thats how its spelled, thats why i live in gainesville and not an inch south. lol
