Which Aussie Rules country will you support?

To all Aussie Rules supporters, please pass this on to your mates, because the AFL doesn't want anyone to know about it.

As of August 27th 16 overseas teams will be in Victoria playing for the Aussie Rules International Cup. Check out this site.

There are over 30,000 Aussie Rules players world wide, (AND they ARE NOT expatriate Aussies) and dropkick Dimetriou and the AFL have not provided one bit of support to them. Only Sheeds and Barass have been helping them.

I am going for South Africa I saw them training on TV and they looked so happy and were pretty good to and my second team will be Denmark for Princess Mary.

So typical of Demetriuo and what would our game be without the imput of Sheeds and Barassi bloody legends the pair of them.

I've spent time in Papua New Guinea & they love the game there. They are real passionate about it. I hope they do well - but for being the most unlikely team to sport an Aussie Rules team I can't go past Finland.

I will support them!

Ireland or Papua New Guinea.  I know the bigger countries might help the game get a world wide footing but I reeaallllllllly don't want the USA or China to do well at yet another thing after the Olympics.  :-p  I know that's shallow, but I'm over them both at the moment.

Wouldn't surprise me that tight *** Dimetriou isn't putting nothing into it neither...

At least Sheed's and Barassi are gonna do the right thing.But you watch out,if it became popular he(Dimetriou) would do something to make himself look good..

Sounds like it's going to be a good turn out too,shame it ain't getting the recognition it deserves.

I actually hope Japan, India, USA, Sth Africa or China play well. All of these countries represent the best chance of our game being taken up elsewhere in a fashion that is greater than the lip-service comps that currently exist in these areas.

If only 1% of Chinese or Indians take up the sport, we have immediately doubled the games demographic!

Sth Africa has really taken to the game, mostly in the poorer areas. While the USA and Japan both have an affinity for the game and the money to do something about it.

Realistically though, Ireland, PNG or New Zealand should win.
