  1. Put it this way.  If you want to join half the population in the Magpie Army then support Collingwood.  If you want the other half of the population to hate you through jealousy and envy, then join the Magpie Army.

    Good Pies!

  2. I feel for you, living in Melbourne its always cold & miserable there. Anyway you should support a team with class and great supporters base like Adelaide.

If you want to support a Victorian side, (I pity you) support Essendon(Bombers) they are a  proud club and lots of history.

  3. watch the melbourne storm rugby league team aussie rules is pants

  4. Nobody's gone specifically for the Saints yet, so I will. They need all the support they can get, as they have only one the flag once in over 100 years of trying. They were also one of the 3 best Melbourne teams last season, and in my (biased) estimation, will be the best performing Melbourne-based team next year.

  5. Hawthorn. Simple

  6. get out of melbourne slightly and go for Geelong they are the best and still in Victoria.

  7. Richmond Tigers mate, a new dynasty is about to begin!

  8. western bulldogs would be the best bet for a victorian side but the non-victorian sides are majorly dominating (no melbourn sides since collingwood lost in 2003 to brisbane have been to the grand final) as for non-victorian sides this years premiers west coast are too good to ignore but so are adelaide. but carlton needs as many supporters as they can get wooden spoon 2 years running. hope it helps

  9. i don't but if you want big crowds and exciting footy Collingwood they are the most famous Football club and well known in Australia and have fans all around the country

  10. West Coast Eagles!!!

Simply because they are the best!!

  11. Well I reckon pick a Melbourne team that appeals to you below (blues, pies, bombers, hawks, roos - well kind of, demons, tigers, saints, or bulldogs).

But in my impartial view the Bulldogs are the most exciting Melbourne team to watch at the mo and they're on the rise.

  12. go for something different, like west coast. west coast obviously winning this years premiership are your best bet. you become an individual, and when wvere you get hassled you can alwsy mention their success. they won the permiership this year with the second youngest side and have got many years to go, and besides you gotta love, cousins, judd, kerr, cox, braun, BIG LYNCHY!, stenglein, beau waters, embley (norm smith medallist and absolute champion!) chicky, wirrupanda, darren glass and the list goes on. another benefit is that west coast had the most all australians this year, five in total.

even if your not going on success, west coast have the best colours, the best support with the highest membership in the afl, best players. and of course the best song:

WE'RE THE EAGLES, WEST COAST EAGLES! AND WE'RE HERE TO SHOW YOU WHY. WE'RE THE BIG BIRDS! KINGS OF THE BIG GAME! WE'RE THE EAGLES, WE'RE FLYING HIGH!

ps if u like the underdog go for the dockers, but as a resolute west coast supporter, i didnt tell u that

  13. barrack for the eagles...I've barracked for the eagles as my first and only club since their first afl year in 1987 when i was aged 9. I got picked on a little bit, but it more than makes up for it. And I'm not just talking about their success. I'm talking about the organization as a whole. They are self motivating, they produce champions, they are role models and they are winners. Examples: When Cousins made em look bad preseason he lost the captaincy forever an the distinction of being a premiership captain. When Gardiner was an idiot they dropped him and promised not to play him. When he did it again it was the end for him. 6ft6in(198 cms) mobile players do not gro on trees. I see that as class. The coach is all class, does not give an inch and does not say much but does not fight with the media like other. Tarrant misbehaved they played him and the respect was gone. Look at what WCE did. Never again. So u cant go for Pies. Geelong was up by almost ten goals against WCE and had a quarter to go and lost!! Can't barrack for a team of quitters. Essendon has underachieved over 25 yrs with Sheedy & the players they've had and has a crazy person for a coach. You'll never see Worsfold do any of what Sheedy does...WCE wanted a coach, they got one with no bells and whistles-u dont need anything else. Carlton are gone...I've seen their players out blind drunk out all the time during the season...Saints are still soft...except for Hamill & I don't just mean physically...u can't go for them.....Bulldogs are entertaining also and the organisation has turned it all around - but they are only as good as their last game & we all know wiot the Eagles did to them in that game.........Hawthorn is a mess off the field, they dont do homework, like when they passed on Judd before testing him and his 2 shoulder operations b4 age of 18...good choice ! cheers + their colours are s**t-literally and p**s-no good ! lol (-:

.....Richmond has a better song and good guersnsey, and u will get to see Richo fire in 4 games a season and have one massive game (just go to all the games so u dont miss that 1 game ok).......so if it has to be a Melb side - pick the Tigers...if ok for out of Victoria choose Eagles...

    - based on a biased yet totally rational process of elimination. (-:

***also - for other people picking on our weather - if u lived here this year u would know we have 3 seasons in Melb: warm & rain; warm with no rain & damm hot with no rain...and water restrictions...LOL

  14. There are plenty to choose from, Personally i have a soft spot for Richmond, but that all depends where are you coming from where in melbourne are you going to live? Id choose the club that is geographically closest or support melbourne itself.

  15. Go for the essendon bombers. Although they are struggling at the moment it is fun when you have mates that are collingwood supporters and you can have a bit of a go at each other. Okay you'll have a big go at each other! But it's all good after a few beers.

The mighty Bombers will come good my friend so jump on board!!

  16. there is a lot of good melbourne sides in the afl it all depends on where abouts you are exactly based it culd be in melbourne it's self or out in one of the other suburbs like geelong

  17. Western Bulldogs or Brisbane Broncos!

  18. The Western Bulldog are a great team to watch. They are always fast moving and exciting. They are on the way up and they are one of best Melbourne based teams at the moment!! 2006 for the Doggies was a great year and with all the injured players coming back in 2007 they will be even bigger and a huge chance for the flag!! Support the doggies.....we need all the support we can get!! If you do you will never regret it!!

  19. COLLINGWOOD of course. >>>> there the only team that have the most supporters plus you either love them or you hate them there's no  in between. ...   SING UP EVERYONE  >>>>>GOOD OLD COLLINGWOOD FOREVER WE NO HOW TO PLAY THE GAME .....   BLACK & WHITE  PLAIN  AND SIMPLE REALLY

GO THE PIES   >>>>>> GO PIES    >>>> MAGPIES 4 EVER>..

  20. Find a place to live first, then support your local team.

I follow the Magpies (Collingwood), but that's because it's my cousin's team - I don't even live in Oz.
