  1. both sydney and melbourne are excellent

  2. Sydney and Melbourne quite easily. Much larger populations and generally poorer roads or more expensive toll roads. Brisbane and Perth have ok public transport, but for many driving is still seen as easier. Pretty much everywhere else is too driving friendly to have a decent PT network. In Australia PT competes with the car, unlike in many countries where car ownage is not typical.

  3. I'd say Sydney with Melbourne coming a close second.  The rest of the country is too remote.

  4. SYDNEY

Sydney CBD: Monorail, Light Rail, Water Taxis, Buses, Trains, Taxis.

Sydney Suburbs: Trains, Ferries, Buses, Taxis.

  5. Sydney.

The Sydney Suburban and intercity rail network is the most comprehensive in the country.  It is also one of the older networks in operation worldwide.   The Sydney rail network was the first in the world to introduce double decker rail carriages.  Sydney also has expansive ferry and bus networks that cover everywhere else.  The inner city area is also served by by a tramway and monorail systems.

  6. Sydney more than Brisbane, but I cannot compare the other Cities.
