0 LIKES UnLike

So Im helping my friend with her baby name, shes having a girl.

so far we've got Jordyn, Jaylen, Jaime, Alyssa, Amaya, Brielle, Naomi, Amadia, Kenya, Kendra, and Leilani.

I know some sound pretty wierd but we wanted her to have a name that's not very common and not too hard to pronounce, they all come from different ethnic backgrounds. so tell me what you think! if you have any other suggestions feel free to post them! She has three months left :-)

  1. Hmm....Personally i quite like Jaylen it's gracefull and has a nice ring to it.

If i might make a suggestion i like the name Esme or Esmé ( it doesn't matter if the accent is there or not) as far as i know it is pronounced: Ez - may. i think it's a beautiful name, but it's up to you.

    Hope i helped.

  2. i like naomi and jordyn. especially the spelling on jordyn

  3. Alyssa has always been a favorite of mine, so that would be my first choice. I think it's just gorgeous. I also like Naomi and Amaya a lot, I think they're unique without being weird, and they're very pretty.

The only one I don't like is Kenya, I don't think it's a good idea to name a baby after a country, except if it has a special meaning to the parents. Otherwise, maybe as a middle name?

    Congrats to your sister!

  4. Congratulations! I think those are really pretty names! :)

    here's my order of preference:

    1. Kendra- I've always loved this name. I think it's soo pretty.

    2. Leilani- it's really exotic sounding, I love it.

    3. Jordyn- I like the y instead of the a. i hate this name on boys but love it on girls.

    4. brielle- very pretty!

    5. jaime- this is a nice name.

    6. amadia- it's exotic, but not my cup of tea.

    7. naomi- it's a cute name but a bit overused.

    8. jaylen- i wouldn't say it's a bad name, but i see it more as a guy name.

    9. amaya- it's not bad, but i prefer just maya.

    10. kenya- i wouldn't name a kid after a country.

    11. alyssa- for some reason, i've always hated this name.

    suggestion: alicia (uh-lee-see-uh)

  5. I would narrow it down to Naomi, Kendra, and Leilani. My favorite is Naomi. It's exotic and pretty, but is a biblical name with history and class.

Jordyn is misspelled, and it's a boy's name to me. It's going to be a pain to go through life having to clarify her gender and spelling. I don't mind Jordan for a middle name, or for a boy, but the random 'Y' is overdone.

Jaylen is too similar to Jayden, Braylen, Aylen, etc. all the names that are unisex and trendy. It won't age well.

Jaime is the Spanish spelling of a masculine name said HIGH-may. JAY-mee is a dated feminine name anyways, which I would avoid like the plague, but at least spell right, Jamie.

Alyssa is fine, but boring. It's a flower (go to the store and look at Alyssum), but it's a very common girl name nowadays.

Amaya is a real name, but sound too made up and flimsy to use for a name.

Brielle is an adorable nickname for Gabrielle, but not a good choice for a given name.

    Amadia is just silly.

Kenya is a poor country, and I wouldn't even make the political statement by using it as a name.

  6. I personally love Amadia and Naomi what about Amadia Naomi or Naomi Amadia if you haven't already got a middle name?

    Good luck!

    Hope I helped!

  7. Alyssa

  8. alyssa out  of your choices. harley, celeste, abbey,

  9. i like Jordyn\Jourden\Jourdan\Jordan\Jordain  i also like Lyndon

  10. brelle, kenya, leilani

  11. naomi or leilani

  12. I like Amaya & Leilani the best.  Amadia is pretty nice too.

  13. Naomi sounds very unique yet easy to pronounce and very catchy in a good way so she will not be teased with her name!

Congrats to your friend having a baby!

  14. I like the names Jordyn (i really like the spelling), Alyssa, and Leilani. Anyone of those would be pretty and not very common.

  15. amadia sounds like a tropical disease,  dont call ur kid that , brielle is a very pretty name indeed and i dont think iv ever met a girl by that name

  16. I personaly like jaylen

  17. i like Jayleigh or Jayley

Alyssa is really cute and my fave

i don't like kenya, amadia, leilani (leila or Leilianna is better) Amaya. They all sound weird but Alyssa is cute

  18. Naomi

  19. i like all of the but the ones that most stick out to me are alyssa naomi kenya  or isabella or rose

  20. I've worked in 2 different day care centers and some of your names that you think are unusual really have become kind of common. The ones I've seen several times are: Jaylen, Jaime, Alyssa, and Kendra. If she's wanting something uncommon, I would choose one of the other names. I personally think I like Brielle the best. I wish her all the best!

  21. Kendra is the best of the ones you've listed here.

  22. How about Addison?

  23. Brielle

    how about isabelle.

  24. I like most of them, Jordyn, Jaylen, Brielle, Naomi, Kenya, and Kendra

    so cute! :]

My favorite two are Brielle and Kendra .

    Good luck.

  25. Amadia is nice

  26. Kaydence and Sophie are my favorites.

I spell it "Kaydence" instead of the "Cadence" because the original spelling makes it easy to mistake it for "Candace."

  27. I realy like Alyssa and Naomi. I think those are very nice names. I also like Kendra.

Suggestions: Maybe Amara instead of Amaya. Or how about Kendall or Lorelei?

  28. o0o0o i like Amadia!

    very nice! : )

    i like Brielle also!!

  29. Jaylen

  30. Jordyn and Leilani. Leilani comes from Hawaii. If you want any hawaiian names message me i guess.

  31. I love Brielle!  There would be no question how to pronounce it and it is not common and it is BEAUTIFUL!  I like Naomi, Kendra, Jordyn, and Leilani as well.  The only one I would avoid is Amadia, but you have some other great choices!  You are a good friend to help her out, good luck!
