  1. Ronaldob got it perfect.

  2. Go for the cheapest flights into Northern Ireland.  Belfast has two airports, the International and George Best, but the is also City of Derry Airport which is the closest to the Giants Causeway.  Of course it all depends on where you are flying from.  Ryanair is the most common in Derry but you have Ryanair, Aer Lingus, BMI and Easyjet into Belfast. Try holidayautos.com for car hire.

  3. You can hire a car at either Belfast City or Belfast International, and they are only about 20-30mins drive apart.  Belfast International is closer to the Giant's Causeway, but it's not that far from either, and probably has more car hire available and you're not negotiating city traffic (although Belfast traffic is ok).

It's probably best to look at which airport gives you the best flight options/prices and base it on that.

  4. It'll take about an hour and a half from George Best Belfast City aiprot and around an hour from Belfast International Airport to get to the Giant's Causeway

  5. Belfast international would be the best.

This is the RAC route planner from the international airport to giants causeway

  6. Go for the cheapest flights!

You'll be able to hire a car at either and get to the Giant's Causeway easy enough!!

  7. Belfast international for sures... you'll love the causeway, its sooo nice on the north coast!

  8. Belfast International airport is on the north side of Belfast, and the Giants Causeway is north of Belfast so that would be your safest bet. Belfast City airport is on the east side of the city so you would have to travel across the city which can be quite lengthy during peak traffic periods. Belfast International is also the bigger of the two airports so you are more likely to find flights to that one, especially to and from international destinations.

  9. I agree, Ronaldob has got it spot on!

  10. Rachel has it spot on. City of Derry airport is closest.

  11. as far as i know ders only 1 airport in belfast
