I have Alpine Interior Speakers in my car either type R or Type S, and I recently purchased a JL Audio 10W6V2-D4 10 Inch Sub. I mostly listen to Rock and Alt, but from time to time listen to Rap and Techno, I am not one to have it cranked all the way up all the time. Between Which brands should I get and how much wattage? I was looking to go with a Class D Monoblock Btw too.

  1. Buy any amp that is cea compliant and that matches your subs RMS well. Ignore peak and max values and look at the RMS.

So find a cea compliant RMS matching at the proper impedance and your good to go.

Some cea compliant amps are all Rockford Fosgate amps, Kicker amps, Alpine amps and lots more.

  2. Simple. Look for a mono amp that's CEA-2006 compliant and pushes the same RMS watts as the sub can handle at the same ohm load.
