Question:

Which Burton snowboard binding is better??

I am looking at two different Burton bindings. One is the Burton freestyle and the other is Burton mission. I know there are better bindings, but it's between these two.

I know that the mission has more response, but is the capstrap comfortable and needed because the Freestyle doesn't have it?

Thanx!!!

  1. The Burton Freestyles are quite cheap compared to many bindings, i owned a pair a couple of years back but to be honest didnt rate them that much. So out of the two id go for the Missions over the Freestyles definately. Although Burton make good boards i think there are better brands out there for bindings, maybe they have improved a bit over the years since i owned a pair im not sure? but id recommend trying Ride for bindings they are really good quality and good value for money. Good luck with the riding.

  2. Well im not quite sure what the other guy was talking about, the Burton freestyle is pretty cheap compared to most bindings...I WOULD recommend going with the Mission because of the toe strap, I currently ride on the Cartel's(HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) and the toe strap makes a world of difference for me, it holds your foot far better on both heelside and toeside turns....

  3. burton custom or freestyle.  they're pricy, but worth it.

  4. Missions are a personal favorite and I enjoy riding in them. They've got good flex in the backing and like you said, response. However, the capstrap isn't really needed--it is comfortable, but you can get bindings that can be used as both--over the foot or capstrap, but a binding like the mission is only useable with the capstrap.

I've never ridden freestyles, but if you're worried about the strap, try some bindings on in the shop with your boots or rent if you can before you buy.
