I remember I read about an article saying it's some small rural hillside town on the east of L.A? Where all the pollution from L.A gets blown there and the smog gets trapped there. What city is that?

  1. easy, it's any valley surrounding the Los Angeles Basin, I live in the San Fernando Valley, trust me, whenever it's smoggy in LA, we're even smoggier, hotter, drier.

  2. Arvin California, an agricultural town, is home to the nation's worst air pollution.

This is a quiet town with almost no pollution-generating factories and little in the way of traffic from its 15,000 residents. However, the area has the unlucky distinction of being downwind of several large metropolitan areas, and its surrounding mountains trap the air in place, giving this city the dubious honor of having the worst air quality of anywhere in the United States.  Second on the EPA's list was the Southern California town of Crestline.
