Which Cards End Up Being Worth More?

Which baseball cards end up being worth more, on average:

- The cards that come in a pack with a verified, genuine autograph (like the topps co-signers, topps certified autograph issues, etc)

- Or a card you take and get signed by the player directly.

i know it depends on the player, whether the card will go up in value and how much. But just in general, which type of autographed card is seen as the better value, better to collect?

  1. probably The cards that come in a pack with a autograph, just because.....

In the Beckett (Card price guide) its listed in there as an autograph so its worth some value no matter what. Instead of a player handsigning it directly who knows if its in the Beckett.

I know this may be confusing, but its pretty much like this why have someone autograph your card if you dont even know if its worth value (because topps, upperdeck, fleer or any other sport card manufactering company didnt actully make that card). so if you have somone hand sign it, its probably not listed anywhere.

Sorry for the confusing words... im very tired.

  2. the first one coz authenticity will never be a problem down the years.  all the better if it is serially numbered. 1 of 1 is always the best!

  3. to sell for more $$$$ it would be the ones in the packs/ the card autographed with a COA on the back. the autograph if you see him sign it is just worth that guys auto. If it was Gretzky or Marino or Favre then it is better to see him sign it. if you are going to a sports show and you are getting an auto then get an 8 by 10 signed, not a card that could be lost easily.

  4. Valued the first. Better to collect, the second one. I love meeting the players. Both current and former.
