Which Caribbean Family Resort?

Next March or April, I am taking my family to a family friendly resort. My twins will be 12 at the time. I have narrowed the choices down to Windjammer Landing in St. Lucia and The Buccaneer in St. Croix, U.S.V.I. We are active; we enjoy tennis, watersports, good food, island tours/excursions, possibly a spa for my wife, a pretty beach (with waves that aren't extremely rough), and maybe an age-appropriate kid's club (again---our twin boys will be 12). Out of the 2 resorts listed above, which do you recommend?

I liked St. Croix more then St. Lucia, but have never been to the resorts you mentioned.  When my kids were 12 & 15 or so, the 15 year old learned quickly that if he was propositioned by the locals to buy some weed, that if he said he was already "holding", then they would leave him alone.  So keep that in mind.  Don't think twice that your 12 year olds don't know what's happening, just tell them that advice.  These guys will come up to you and your children with and without you being there.  Yes, even at nice resorts...they hang out on the edges and wait, or wait until you get off a sailing cruise outside the resort, or wherever you're off visiting, but then again, you may already know that.  ST. John was one island that this never happened to us, so think about the Westin there.  It's beautiful, but the kids might get bored.  Have you thought about a cruise?  My kids love them more.  Plus, they're cheaper and more fun for everyone.  If you have a few extra bucks, get a balcony, but get it after you book a cheaper room with a window...two weeks before you set sail, ask for an upgrade..cheaper that way.  Also, buy some snorkel equipment before you go to save some bucks.  I usually can find a good travel deal at this site, ibtraveling.com, so you can compare all the deals.  Well,  have fun though, wherever you go!  :)

I'll tell you the best place to stay if you go to the Caribbean is the Coralstone Club in Grand Cayman. huge perfect beach, gorgeous water and an incredible atmosphere Here is the website.

U can go to the Dominican Republic. it is a beautiful country and they have alot of family- kid friendly resorts.
