Don't tell me a used Honda/Kaw/'Zuki/Yamaha. That isn't what I want. This isn't going to be a daily rider, just something to play with, tinker with, and get decent mileage doing it. Hey, somebody had to buy the first Honda that floated over. So I'm looking at the Kymco Venox, Hyosung GV250, Lifan 250 or 400, CFMOTO(qlink) V5, and the Johnny Pag Raptor(I want the police escort model if I could get it). So who has had experience with these? Which one to stay away from? What aftermarket parts have you had experience with? Thanks for any input.

  1. Food for thought - only two out of your list came to show their products during Bike Week up here. Kymco and CF MOTO.

  2. Research each model on the web, to see which model has the easiest access to parts.

That is one of the major pitfalls of unpopular bikes.

  3. harley

  4. None

  5. Just from what I've read the Hyosung has the best reliability.

  6. Make sure to find a motorcycle mechanic willing to touch whatever model you decide on, unless you're willing to do the work yourself. Most reputable motorcycle mechanics will not touch those things due to liability issues. I bought a mini bike brand new and it needed a ton of work before I could ride it at all. Getting replacement parts could be also a hassle.

  7. I keep saying. I dirve my United Motors 100 miles a day, 5 days a week, 11 months a year.

    Ive had no problems.
