  1.  I would do both. I did ballet for 6 years, but then I quit because it was too much pressure for me (I was getting more advanced). I started figure skating only about 2 years ago, and now I'm really thankful for it. I would say either, or both. People are right, figure skating is very expensive, but ballet can also get a little expensive (maybe not as much, though). Ballet dramatically helps figure skating, it's scary. It helps your flexibility and strength. Also, figure skating helped me with ballet to, with flexibility and jumps and turns.

  2. Ballet. Most definatley. It's tons cheaper than ice-skating, with only uniform and lessons to pay for, but with skating there is comps, skates... etc. Good Luck!

  3. Figureskating all the way!! figureskating is a challenge but it's not something everyone else can do. For ice skating though be ready to pay $900 a month on average.. Skating Rocks!

  4. FIGURE SKATING ALL THE WAY!!! i'v skated for 5 years now, never took leasons in EITHER, and was able to start in level 7 in figure skating!  plus i only started to get intrested in figure skating about 2 years about b4 that i just skated.

  5. Ballet for sure. It's more techniqual, and more of a challenge in different ways. although in both you need a certain amount of flexibility but you learn that as your progress.

  6. OBVIOSLY
    ballet rocks
you do not need to be flexible, woteva anyone says
they are there to help you LEARN to be FLEXIBLE

  7. well, in figure skating, you need ballet. figure skating is a VERY tough sport. if you don't put 100% into it and are just doing it well, for no good reason and you don't feel the want then you won't go far. ballet, is well you can be good at it, but i think figure skating is alot harder, and remember figure skating is VERY expensive too. i mean my mom spends from 600-1000 a month, and its not just a game, think about it(: good luck.

(i personally like figure skating better, ive done both and i hated ballet)
