  1. Well in the summer, the farther north has the most light.

Parts of Alaska, northern Canada, iceland, Russia and the Scandavian countires can actually have 24 hour daylight in the summer, but 24 hour darkness in the winter.

  2. if you want a country with the same daylight hours, ie always 12 hours of daylight without variation, you need to look at the tropics, ie singapore, ecuador, central africa, etc...

if you want a country with the most daylight, it would be the most southern or northern country. in the south, it would be antarctica, where you would get 24hrs daylight in summer, in the north, Alaska would have around 24hours as well in summer.

  3. Today anywhere above 66°N will have 24 hours daylight.  This includes Alaska, Canada, Sweden, Norway, Finland and russia

  4. All locations north of the Arctic Circle will have at least one day when the sun never sets. You should ask about the number of days of continuous sunshine.

Canada has the most northern permanent settlement.

Russia has a ice station almost at the north pole - about 180 days.

Denmark (Greenland) has the most northern land mass - no occupied.

All locations south of the Antarctic Circle also have one day when the sun never sets. All of these locations are on Antarctica. By international treaty, Antarctica does not belong to any country. There are 32 research stations.

  5. Averaged over the whole year, everywhere gets the same number of hours of daylight, it's just that the nearer you get to the Poles, the longer is the period of daylight in summer and shorter in winter. If you want somewhere where it's always 12 hours daylight / 12 hours night (apart from twilight, of course), go to the equator.

  6. Those on the equator: 12 hours day, 12 hours night. In the very north of Norway, Sweden, Finland... the sun just touches the horizon and goes up again in the midst of summer and does not come up in the midst of winter

  7. ICELAND

  8. I think anywhere within the tropics (Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn) has pretty much 12 hr days and 12 hr nights all year round.

  9. Malaysia has a pretty long daytime, gets bright from 7-8 am, and gets dark from 7-8 pm, but varies throughout year (5am can be bright, 7pm can be dark etc).

If you come visit, I suggest the beaches in the Northern Peninsula, or the Beaches in East Malaysia. Clean beaches, nice hotel resorts, great food in the whole country (mixtures and fusions as well as traditional and cultural, yet all delicious) and great hospitality. Nice sun, if you love sunlight, nice place, nice water, for diving, snorkeling, or wave play, or wading.

  10. my guess is somewhere in the poles were humans couldnt   place homes or stations....wonder if the enviroment had a new effect on this ?
