Which Cross- Country ski brand, has more overall quality, Fischer or Rossignol?

Question

I am looking at buying a new pair of cross- country skis, but I want to put my money in to something that will last, and perform excellent. I am an advanced skier who skis on well groomed trails. I am just curious which brand has higher overall quality, so I can refine my search. Thanks!!

Well i am a downhill ski racer and i swear by rossi.. so if i decided to do cross country skiing i guess id go with that one... i mean im sure they are both great like i know some friends who use fischers soo i guess its up to you.. maybe rent some rossi first and see how they go then try renting fischers.. and then buy the one u want?

Fisher and Rossignol are probably the two top x-country ski brands.  I've been competitively racing for a few years and have skied for forever, and I love my Fishers, but a lot of people on my team have Rossis as well.  Either brand will last you forever, so I suggest just trying both skis out (many places have demos) and see which you think has a better "feel." i LOVE skiing, i have been cross country skiing sence i was 9, (im 13),  My whole fam has rossignol but idk about the other brand, my skiis work great, and i love them

If you are between the two...go with Rossi. I've sold both brands and skied them as well. I like the Rossi skis better than the Fischer skis for several reasons.

1. I find Rossi bases are better suited for climbing than the Fisher bases. The Fisher has good grip, but the Rossi skis were a lot better.

2. I think Rossi skis have better camber and are less prone to lose their camber over time.

3. I've found it easer to turn on Rossis. This applies to both metal edged and non edged skis form both companies.

To their credit, the Fishers had a bit more stability in deep snow but even off-track I'd still take the Rossis just for the other reasons.

I personally like Karhu over both of those brands. I don't know if you have looked at them or not. Just thought I would throw it out there.
