We are thinking of going on Holland America. I have been on 3 cruises so far no complaints. It has 3 year since my last one. I am looking a going on the Nodordam in Nov 08 for 10 days. Any other cruise lines suggested would be good to know. I have going with friends who have never been on a cruise we are mid 40's.

  1. We went on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship and had a really great time and we only went for the weekend and got in everything we wanted to do.  Just make sure you take everything that you need.  Our trip was almost messed up when the captain made a new rule that everyone needed to have their birthcertifcates and the women need proof of a wedding certificate if their last names were different than their maiden name.  Just make sure you are prepared for anything.  Have fun.

  2. This is a great site for looking for cruises

    http://www.travelaroundsite.com

Just select cruises. In the destination select panama or caribbean west or caribbean east

This way you can compare prices and information.

I recommend Norwegian, Holland or Princess. All very good cruises.

This site has the best rates we could find.

    Enjoy

  3. Carnival has one as well that will go through the Panama canal it is a 14 day on Mar 22, 2009  from LA Cal to Miami FL

    Ports of Call

Manzanillo, Mexico; Puntarenas; Costa Rica; Panama Canal Transit; Cartagena, Colombia; Ocho Rios, Jamaica; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; then to  Miami FL for disembark

  4. We've done E. and W. Caribbean, and we love the W. caribbean the best.  Would love to do a panama canal only for the thrill of saying we did it.

    Southern would be nice.

    We cruise with Royal Caribbean.

  5. We did the Panama Canal cruise on a Princess ship a few years ago and it was great.  We departed from Ft Lauderdale and had port stops in Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, and on the way back Grand Cayman and Jamaica.  We loved the cruise and the Princess ship. Princess will have a somewhat lower average age of passengers on board that Holland A.  But you'll fit right in.
