  1. Both, equally.  


  2. Both because at some point or the other in this profession you have to use one or the other or at times both!

Definitely brains.  No matter how much you put into it, if you don't have the IQ, it's not going to stick.  The smarter you are, the easier the coursework will be.  Some people honestly don't have to study when it comes to quantum physics, for instance. It's just something that comes naturally.  And those people are your doctors and rocket scientists.

  4. I think hard work is more important.

    You could be smart while being a lazy bum.

  5. It depends upon the amount of brains.  Hard work on its own is no good but if the brains are exceptional, then the amount of work may be less.

  6. Both but you need to have the physical skills too if your going to be a surgeon. You can be smart but can't cut for Sh*t...

    My friend is a doctor and he said he'd rather not be a surgeon, so he practices family health.
